PM Modi Releases 17th PM-KISAN Instalment Worth ₹20,000 Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 17th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The release marked one of the first major decisions of the new government. An amount exceeding ₹20,000 crore was directly transferred into the bank accounts of more than 9.26 crore eligible farmer families across the country.
